The Boats

Sebago Sport Fishing runs two modern and fully equipped boats. Wickedfishy is a dedicated trolling boat with a full cabin for bigger lakes and the ocean which stays in a beautiful slip on Sebago lake. Athena Rose is a smaller multi species boat that stays on a trailer and can be launched easily on most ramps in the area.

Both boats are outfitted with all the necessary safety gear including well stocked first aid kits and each boat has 2 coolers, one to keep fish in and one for drinks and food if needed, feel free to bring your own cooler for food and drinks and if needed I can supply a Styrofoam cooler and usually some ice to get your fish home in.

Both boats are kept in immaculate condition and maintained to the fullest degree. They both run the latest in sonar and GPS technology. While I will never guarantee a box full of fish I have learned the key to success is setting myself up to be successful. I pride myself on employing a wide variety of techniques and gear including downriggers, planer boards, divers, lead, copper and steel core line.

I’ve also been know to invent techniques on the fly when the fishing is slow, but none of this is any good if it isn’t maintained or doesn’t work properly, I put a lot of time in keeping all my gear in the best condition it could be, all the way down to fresh leaders and terminal tackle sometimes on every trip, there isn’t anything more frustrating than loosing a fish, possibly the fish of a lifetime, because a knot came untied or a nicked leader broke.

The “Wickid Fishy” is a customized 2019 24-foot Weldcraft Revolution all welded aluminum boat made in Washington to handle the rugged seas of the Pacific Northwest and Alaska, they are also very popular on the Great Lakes for their ability to handle rough water comfortably and safely. It is set up specifically for trolling and jigging in the bigger lakes and the ocean and is kept in a beautiful slip on Sebago Lake. She has a full cabin with a heater to make it a 4-season fishing machine provided we have open water. It has a 200 HP Yamaha main engine and 9.9 Yamaha kicker motor with an integrated autopilot so I don’t have to be at the helm driving the boat, I can be in the cockpit full time setting out gear and interacting with clients. She has been outfitted with the most modern sonar and GPS technology as well as radar and VHF radios for safety at night and in bad weather situations. No fish is safe with the arsenal of fishing gear on board as well, with mast mounted planer boards, the ability to run 4 down riggers, divers and many types of weighted line we can maximize the opportunities for a strike with as many lines as we can legally have out. Depending on the total weight I can take up to 6 people on the “Wickid fishy” and there is a head in the cabin to make things a little more convenient when the fish are biting and you gotta go.

“Athena Rose” is named after my granddaughter who was born the same day I bought her brand new. She is a 2022 19-foot Tracker Targa multi-species boat with a 200 horsepower Mercury main engine and 9.9 Mercury kicker and depending on the type of fishing has a capacity of 4-6 people. She sits on a trailer under cover ready to go pond hopping and is an excellent platform for bass and crappie fishing and can easily be set up for trolling in our smaller lakes and ponds. Like the “Wickid Fishy” she is outfitted with modern electronics, bow mounted trolling motor with autopilot and a vast arsenal of fishing gear for most any species of freshwater fish in Maine. It is an open boat designed for casting, so it does not have a roof or head so please plan accordingly for the weather and plan to use a bucket if you gotta go.
